Cori is, at the very core of things, an extremely goofy and outgoing person. She's the type of person that says things that she really probably shouldn't....because the girl has absolutely no filter (she always tells the truth). That combined with her tendency toward rambling, or general chatting, makes for both a funny person and someone that can be an acquired taste. Cori is playful, family-oriented, and that person that is just genuine in everything that she does. There are more than enough times where what she's saying or doing can come off as awkward, but she does it anyway, and is always true to herself.

Being the youngest of four siblings Cori was the baby of the family, and because she was so much younger than her siblings she didn't always have someone to play with. This made her extremely creative, and really good at keeping herself busy. There were always people around, though, so that was her saving grace, and kept her from becoming shy...at all. Plus, in order to be heard and get her own attention among the chaos, she had to speak up and be outgoing. Cori managed to really carve her spot in an already full family, sticking out as distinct among the other personalities that were there already....and she does that in most situations.

Cori is a very protective person when it comes to her friends. She's more than willing to play around with them. She can tease them and have fun because she knows how they are and what they're okay with. She doesn't like to let other people insult, hurt, or do anything mean toward her friends, family, or those that she cares about, without speaking up for them, though. And when it comes to anger she's a very blunt person. When she's angry, or doesn't like someone, she doesn't bother being fake. She's the kind of person that just tells people how she is feeling. And the angrier she gets the harsher her truths can become. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty either. She's not quick to anger, for the most part, unless you push some very specific buttons. If you hurt, insult, or degrade her family or friends it will get you there pretty quickly. So will gay bashing.

Cori is a pretty open person. She tries new things, and has never been afraid of a little bit of adventure. After all, you don't know whether you like something unless you try it. So, she is happy to try new things, and to experiment. She's not perfect, by any means, but overall she is a good person. She's a creative person who loves color and beautiful things.

Cori was the fourth child born to Catherine and Kevin O'Connell. Prior to her they'd had two boys and a girl. The O'Keever family had been running the winery and vineyard named after their family since Cori's grandparents days. She grew up around wine, grapes and vines, and a great number of people that were needed in order to keep the family business going. Between four children, workers between the winery and vineyard, and everything else Cori was always having to fight for attention. Sometimes she did, sometimes she didn't and just occupied herself.

This was what lead to Cori getting pretty good at keeping herself busy, particularly with art projects. It was at this young age that Cori began drawing things without meaning to always draw them. Her family, though rather open, thought she was just emulating her brother Aaron. Her siblings were all older than her, and they weren't exactly interested in playing with her once she got old enough to bounce around and play, as well as getting into things. She had friends, and playdates, of course. She had plenty of things to do between her parents finding things and her 'imagination' or rather her psychic ability.

During middle school Cori's older brother Aaron started his own stint at The Instituate, his own abilities already having become apparent. Cori's own abilities were cemented as being real, and not just her overactive imagination around this time. Because she knew that her brother was at the Institute, it became normal for Cori to think of the place (and to think that there was a place that she could go to to get a better grasp of what she could do) as she was going through school and everything.

The love of art that carried on, even into high school. Cori was known for being the artsy girl from the get go, especially when she won some contests with her art and took classes outside of school. By junior year Cori had come out as a lesbian to her parents, friends, and everyone else. For a psychic, she had a relatively normal life, especially being the second psychic in a family of four kids. The one thing that wasn't relatively normal was the fact that as she got older her psychic ability became more and more of a distraction and less and less of something she could quite control, but something that was obviously there.

When she graduated Cori was accepted into both the Institute and Loyla NOLA where she met Lily Hale, and became her crazy roommate.

She is the one and only artist of the family (and certainly the most unique). A student at Loyola, she is definitely outgoing and without filter, and always making life interesting for those around her whether with her personality, mouth, or otherwise.
